Rooms With A View and Other Advantages at Grand Bend at Green Bay

November 12th, 2008

Grand Bend at Green Bay condos feature stunning terraces that dramatically increase options and living areas.Evanston’s Grand Bend at Green Bay has a lot going for it–a glamorously curved piece of world-class architecture that boasts unique, amenity-rich condominiums on six floors. There is an extensive list of features that would make even the most discerning buyer pause for a second look. But each of the building’s 49 units offer a feature that is fast becoming a highly desired necessity–especially for those who depend on their homes to offer a place of solace where one can regroup and recharge. It’s terraces and balconies. Those simple, previously underutilized extensions of living space that are fast becoming a hot item in our furiously urbanizing world.

TERRACES AND BALCONIES

…Conjure Happy Memories. Maybe it’s happy memories of spaces like these that make them suddenly so very desirable. A grandmother’s welcoming front porch, a screened-in sleeping room at a lake house, or a patio that provided access to our childhood home’s backyard. Whatever the reason, outdoor rooms like these offer us relaxation and leisure, and even a modestly sized space can offer us a utopia at the end of the day. Grand Bend has innovatively worked access to the outdoors into every condominium offered–covered balconies on the  floors 2, 3 and 4 and magnificent, sprawling terraces on floors 5 and 6.

…Offer Endless Opportunities for Expanded Living Areas. The outdoor rooms at Grand Bend offer the buyer endless opportunities to plan, stage, furnish and plant this additional living space–all easily customizable to fit each homeowner’s requirements. It may be a simple solution that does no more than draw the eye to a resting point at the furthest distance outside the interior–a neat trick that fools the viewer into thinking “this place is enormous!” Read the rest of this entry »

Steppin’ Out Into Evanston: Where to Go, What to Do and Where to Dine

November 5th, 2008

No, Godzilla is not ravishing downtown Evanston. But a visit to Lulus Dim Sum and Then Sum will find Godzilla toys galore for kids to play with. OK, adults too.The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel recently featured an article on getting away to Evanston for a day of fun and excitement. While visiting Evanston is great for anyone who doesn’t live there, even residents — especially of our newest development, Grand Bend at Green Bay — should definitely step out and see what their community offers.

While home to Northwestern University, Evanston also presents great views of Chicago’s beautiful skyline (FYI, the views from Grand Bend at Green Bay’s ginormous patios and terraces are stunning, no matter what time of the year).

Condo Living: Pros and Cons

October 31st, 2008

Living in a condominium is quite different than a single family home or even a townhome or attached home. Before you decide is condo living is right for you, here’s a “pro vs. con” list to consider. If you find this lifestyle exactly what you’ve been looking for, be sure to book your appointment online with one of our consultants — they’ll answer any questions you may have, show you around the building (including a newly decorated model) and let you in on the best kept secret of downtown Evanston — Grand Bend at Green Bay.
