This Monday, May 26th is Memorial Day. It is the time of year we recognize the lives given by those in the Armed Services in order to protect our country and keep us safe.

As a tribute to this day and the people it recognizes, Libertyville is having a parade with several stops, starting at the train station. Its first destination, Cook Park, will be the location of the Memorial Day events. Once they are through, the parade will proceed to the Lakeside Cemetery, where the closing ceremonies will take place. Participants include the VFW, American Legion, Scout troops, various community organizations, and Libertyville High School Band.
