Fall Decorating: Bring Today’s Trends Into Your Grand Bend at Green Bay Home

We’re not sure if you heard, but our newest condo project in Evanston, Grand Bend at Green Bay, has a great Lease-With-Purchase-Incentive Plan. Now, living at the luxury-packed GB@GB is even easier than before!

As the seasons change to hues of rust, auburn and amber, we thought we’d present a few decorating hints you can use for your new home, courtesy of Rental Decorating Digest. They key here is to incorporate new trends and treatments into your personal style — remember, like the seasons, a home that changes from time to time is interesting while still being warmly inviting.

Colors. The trend is definitely towards big and bold. This is your palette, and painting a room can take just a couple of hours, so flip through new home deisgn maganizes until you find colors and patterns that appeal to you (our current favorite: a rich, chocolate brown).

Murals. As faux finishes were popular in the 1990s, custom, hand-painted murals are all the rage now. Perhaps not for the amateur, Evanston’s inherent artistic community probably has more than a few local artists ready to paint you a dream getaway.

Mixing and Matching. A great decorating strategy is to feature items of style that you think might compete. You’ve got that antique, carved Chinese alter table…why not mix it into the scheme with your collection of New England landscape prints. As long as the colors, textures and overall feel has something in common, you should be OK.

Patterns and Textures. Again, think a bit outside the box. Clever design present a juxtaposition of components — the key is to look for something common to tie them together.
